Well sports fans, it’s been a pretty shitty week of sports for the Aussie sports fan.
So of course lets get the bad news over with and lets talk about the cricket! The 4th Ashes test is now over and the Poms came away with the win and the Poms now win the Ashes series. We had the Poms pretty much beat, with impressive tests from Chris Rodgers scoring a century in the first innings to Ryan Harris taking 7 wickets in the 2nd innings. Rodgers and Warner put us in a great position chasing the Poms in the final innings. But as per usual our middle order collapsed and we went from just about to win our first test match of the series to losing another in the space of a few hours. Something really needs to be done really soon or before you know Bangladesh will start beating us in test matches. Let’s hope they save some face and put in a good performance in the final Test at the Oval.
Over to the AFL now and the nope were still not going to talk about the Bombers and Drugs, that shit is really starting to bore the hell out of me. Lets talk about the actual footy. How good are those guys down at Tigerland looking? Pretty sweet. Having the finals spot wrapped up in over 10 years, the Tigers put in another great performance over against the Lions over the weekend. It’d be great to see them do well in the finals, so lets hope their good form continues.
To the NRL now and the Melbourne Storm’s form continues to get better as the finals draw closer, with a great win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs. The Bunnies were without a few of their stars and they fought really hard, but unfortunately for them the Storm were just too good in the end and came away with a 20 point win. With the finals getting closer I can’t wait to see what is going to happen next. GO STORM!
