Time for Sport!

It’s that time of the week, where go over all things sports! Where else better to start than with the Lions tour!

In game 2, the Wallabies needed to win to force the series into a decider. As you may well know the Wallabies probably could have won game 1 if they had of kicked straight and this time in game 2 we sure did kick straight. The game was a nail biter and the Wallabies came away with a great win. We cannot wait for the decider in Sydney at ANZ stadium this weekend. Go the Wallabies!

Over to the World game and the Confederations cup final was held over in Brazil this weekend just gone. Brazil made it to finals against the current World Cup champs Spain. Now you would have thought this might have been a close game, but Brazil were just way to good and smashed Spain 3 goals to 0. Is this a sign of things to come for next years World Cup? Time will tell.

In the AFL we’d like to take the time out to congratulate the Melbourne Demons on winning a game. It was a close one and the Bulldogs almost beat the D’s, but the Demons held on to win the match. Let’s hope there’s more to come.

To the NRL and we were a little excited to see all the big hits when the Roosters took on the Sea Eagles and we were not disappointed, what a great game.

Over to the Tour De France and this is the first year that Australia has a team in the tour, Orica Green Edge. Stage 3 saw Simon Gerrans from Orica Green Edge win the Stage and the next stage saw the team come through with the win, which helped Gerrans take the Yellow jersey. Let’s hope the team can keep up the great effort.

Finally we all know Wimbledon is on, so we’d like to take the time out and wish our favourite all the best! Good luck Sabine we’re rooting for ya!
