Well it sure was a great weekend of sport and there’s still so much going on during the week. Let’s start our wrap up with some NRL.
The Mighty Melbourne Storm came away with a great win against the Knights on the weekend. The Knights started off really strong and were leading at half time. But you can never count out the reigning Premiers and the Storm came away with a great win.
As we speak, the Socceroos are playing their finally World Cup qualifying game against Iraq. Lets hope the boys can come away with the win so they can make it into the World Cup in Brazil!
In the AFL the Hawks came away with a tough win against the Blues. Love them or hate them, the Hawks are looking more and more like premier favourites. Will they be there in September? Time will tell, but I have a good feeling they’ll be there.
As the Lions juggernaut steam rolls through Australia, can any Aussie team stop the Poms? Just the other day, the Waratahs put up a valiant effort, but the Lions were just too bloody good. As we speak the Super 15’s ladder leaders, the Brumbies, take on the Lions. Let’s hope they give these guys a run for their money and soften them up for the first test against the Wallabies this weekend.
Finally lets head to the US and in the NBA the Spurs gave the Heat a lesson in Basketball and took the lead in the NBA finals going up 3-2 in the series. The last 2 games are in Miami, which is going to make it tough for the Spurs. I have a feeling the series will go to a game 7. So strap yourself in for what is going to be one hell ending to this exciting final series.
