So much action going on!
Yep, there is so much sports action going on, we don’t know where to look! Lucky we have multiple TV’s.
Let’s start with some Congratulations! Respect to the Socceroos for making it through to the World Cup over in Brazil next year, with their big win over Iraq last week. Well done boys, we can’t wait to make the trip over to Brazil with ya and soak up all the action, sun and women!
The Lions tour just kicked off last week, and the Wallabies sure were competitive. We probably would have won if we could have kicked straight too. As expected, Israel Falou sure did shut up his critics with a dominating performance in game 1 with 2 big tries. We sure are looking forward to game 2 at Eithad Stadium this Saturday night. Hopefully the Aussies can shut up those pommy supporters this weekend!
In the AFL over the weekend, you would have witnessed one hell of an upset, when the Cats blew a 52 point lead against the Lions, to lose with a kick on the siren. Poor form by the Cats, but it was a bloody great effort by the Lions.
Big news in the Cricket, with the Ashes just weeks away the ACB has sacked Mickey Arthur and replaced him with Darren Lehman. Now I’m pretty happy with the move to bring in Lehman, but it really doesn’t look good to sack your coach just weeks before the biggest test series Australia play in. Lets hope the powers that be have done the right thing.
Tonight, game 2 in the State of Origin is here! Can NSW win and break the 7-year drought and finally win a series. Or will the Queenslanders tie it all up and send the series into a decider!
Over to the US and the Chicago Blackhawks have won the Stanely Cup with a miraculous win over the Boston Bruins in the last minute of the final period. It sure was a great game and the Bruins looked like they were going to send the series into a game 7, but the Blackhawks were just too bloody good.
If you’re not familiar with Ice Hockey, you really should start taking notice. Especially take notice of the ice crew that clean up the ice during the game!
That last Saturday in September has FINALLY arrived! The day where our nation stops to watch two teams battle...
