“Get ready for a broken arm!” Finally some fire in the belly! I’ve personally never been a fan of Michael Clarke but this threat, may have just turned me. With Mitchell Johnson sending them screaming down the pitch at the English batsmen’s heads, things got heated quickly. And how good was it? The Aussies dominated the first test and finally stood up and showed some true national pride.
The First test was indeed a test… of everyone’s patience!
David Warner and Michael Clarke both scoring centuries pushing the English target up to 560 was truly awesome to see but more importantly, how good was Mitchell Johnson? I’ve always been a fan of Mitch and to see him blasting the poms and getting up in their faces, intimidating them was simply awesome! His handy batting in the first innings also helped secure a reasonable target to begin with. How good is his moustache?! No wonder he got man of the match.
The ICC has fined Michael Clarke because he upset a few poms with his threat but listening to “Boof” Lehman, the coach couldn’t be prouder! I dare say there’s going to be some more heated exchanges at the Adelaide Test which I honestly can’t wait for. Stick it right up them boys! C’mon Aussie, c’mon!
