As winter is coming to it’s end, the world of sport is heating up!
Let’s get the bad news out of the way for the rugby supporters. Yeah that’s right let’s get the Bledisloe talk out of the way. You know we were looking pretty good in the first half and Will Genia scored a great try. But the Kiwi’s were just too strong in the end, yet again. There are some positive signs in there for the Wallabies, let’s hope they get their act together and play a full game of Rugby and come away with the win in NZ.
Over to the AFL now and with the finals just a couple of weeks away, the standard of footy is lifting, even the Bulldogs vs Crows game was a great game of footy to watch. Most of the focus of the round was on the Friday nights clash at the G between the Hawks and the Pies and the game didn’t disappoint. The Hawks came away with the win and are looking pretty good to win the flag on that one day in September.
To the NRL and the top 3 teams just keep getting stronger as the finals get closer. The Roosters smashed the West Tigers. The Rabbitohs had a great win against Manly, this was probably the match of the round and it was pretty much the calibre of a semi final match. Finally the Storm had a great away win against the Knights in Newcastle. At this stage of the game any team could win the GF, which makes for an interesting couple of weeks leading up to the finals.
The Ashes 5th test is just about to get underway and well I’m hoping for a result and not for the Poms! I used to think I had plenty of solutions to help the Aussies win a match against the Poms, but lets face it, all we need to see is our batsmen get back to the fundamentals of batting and not through away their wicket. Fingers crossed, the esky is full of beer and red bull and I’m ready for an interesting final test.
Finally, just because it’s winter I thought the best way to warm up a little is too watch some hot chicks surf, so enjoy the next couple of minutes.
