Another week gone and another week full of drama in the Australian sporting world. Not many good things to talk about week, so let’s the ball rolling.
Where should start, how about the AFL! Seems logical right considering they have taken up most of the headlines the news this past week. I don’t really need to go over much really, because you all should really know what’s going on. Essendon are out the finals and there were a few suspensions and fines handed out. So how does this actually effect what’s gonna happen this week? Well it sure has made the final round coming up this weekend fucking exciting! Five teams can now make the finals. So strap yourself in, this weekends footy is going to be pretty fucking good!
As winter is coming to it’s end, the world of sport is heating up!
Let’s get the bad news out of the way for the rugby supporters. Yeah that’s right let’s get the fucking Bledisloe talk out of the way. You know we were looking pretty good in the first half and Will Genia scored a fucking great try. But the Kiwi’s were just too strong in the end, yet again. There are some positive signs in there for the Wallabies, let’s hope they get their act together and play a full game of Rugby and come away with the win in NZ.
Well sports fans, it’s been a pretty shitty week of sports for the Aussie sports fan.
So of course lets get the bad news over with and lets talk about the fucking cricket! The 4th Ashes test is now over and the Poms came away with the win and the fucking Poms now win the Ashes series. We had the fucking Poms pretty much beat, with impressive tests from Chris Rodgers scoring a century in the first innings to Ryan Harris taking 7 wickets in the 2nd innings. Rodgers and Warner put us in a great position chasing the Poms in the final innings. But as per usual our fucking middle order collapsed and we went from just about to win our first test match of the series to losing another in the space of a few hours. Something really needs to be done really soon or before you know Bangladesh will start beating us in test matches. Let’s hope they save some face and put in a good performance in the final Test at the Oval.
We are back for another week and there is a lot to talk about, as per usual. So where should we start.
Lets start with the NRL and by now you should all know I’m a bit of a Melbourne Storm supporter and well I think you know where I am going with this now. Sunday afternoon we got to witness the Melbourne Storm get their season back on track as they gave the Canberra Raiders an absolute beating in Canberra! The Raiders haven’t lost a game on their home ground since last year, but the Storm decided they were due for a loss and they beat them 68 to 4. The Storm will face the competition favourites the South Sydney Rabbitohs at home this Friday night. Lets hope their form can continue.
Yep we’re back for another quick wrap up of what was the stand out moments from the weekend in the wired world of sports and what we are looking forward to coming up this weekend.
First let’s go to the AFL, of course the main talking point in the AFL at the moment is Essendon and Drugs. As I’ve mentioned before we’re not going to focus on that we’re going to focus on what actually happens on the football field. All eyes were on 1 vs 2, old rivals Hawthorn vs Essendon, the Hawks were just to good and really showed that they are the real premiership favourites! Finally we can’t help but mention how happy we are to see the Doggies get a win. Gold old Footscray gave the West Coast Eagles a good old fashioned thumping, nice work Doggies!
So much sporting action went on this week. We didn’t know what to watch half the fucking month. Luckily we invested in a second TV, that made life on the couch watching sport a hell of a lot more fucking fun.
So what exactly went down over this past month? Well the British Lions came over and played some awesome rugby against the Wallabies. The Miami Heat won the NBA championship. Hawthorn and Geelong are still dominating the AFL. The Rabbitohs are creating some history in the NRL. The State of origin has had everything, even a fucking streaker! History was made in Wimbledon. Then there are the Ashes. Finally the Socceroos made it through to the World Cup. So let’s get into some serious fucking detail.
Yep it’s time for the Big Boys Club Wired World of Sport. There was some great sporting moments that happened this past week and there is some great sporting action coming up as well.
Let’s start with the Ashes shall we. Now despite our poor batting performance from our batsmen in the first test, the Aussie’s put up on hell of a great fight and came just 15 runs short of winning the first test. Personally the way our batters played we should have lost by a hell of a lot fucking more, but thanks to our bowlers and the heroics of a few batsmen, we came so fucking close! The 2nd test begins tomorrow night and lets hope we can lift our fucking game and tie the series.
