Whether you call it a bachelor party, stag party or a buck's night, this celebration of masculinity is an important ritual marking the farewell of single life for the groom. As the Best Man, one of your quintessential duties is planning the bachelor party. So when the groom is busy with his manly responsibilities of picking out flowers and taking dance lessons, you have the vital role to plan this night – or weekend – of drunken debauchery honouring your friend. Here are a few tips:
"Get ready for a broken fucking arm!" Finally some fire in the belly! I've personally never been a fan of Michael Clarke but this threat, may have just turned me. With Mitchell Johnson sending them screaming down the pitch at the English batsmen's heads, things got heated quickly. And how good was it? The Aussies dominated the first test and finally stood up and showed some true national pride.
Many years ago, before the Big Boys Club was well established, I attended my very first bucks party. The first of my mates was getting married. All the boys were pumped up and excited for the first one of the boys, to finally settle down. None of us had ever really been to a bucks party, except for a couple of the guys who had attended cousins or older brothers etc. and kind of been on the outer. This was the first time we had all been celebrating, one of our own.
This week former Australian Cricket captain Ricky Ponting released his autobiography, "At the close of play" and haven't some heads rolled? Wow wee.
A-League is Back! Melbourne Heart versus Melbourne Victory is happening this Saturday night. The two teams who already are fierce rivals, have this season had it cranked up a notch with former Victory marquee player Harry Kewell, who sensationally walked out on the club in 2012 for family reasons, return to the bitter rival Melbourne Heart, as a regular squad member on minimum wage. With Melbourne divided between the two teams, it'll be interesting to see who comes out on top in what's sure to be a classic gladiator style battle. Who does your heart follow in the quest for victory?
That last Saturday in September has FINALLY arrived! The day where our nation stops to watch two teams battle it out for the Holy Grail of Australian sport, the AFL Premiership. It’s a tough game to call as both teams are coming off massive wins to step onto the grandest stage of all. Hawthorn finally beating the dreaded “Kennett Curse” and Fremantle smashing the Sydney Swans. Can Hawthorn come out on top to avoid back to back defeats in a Grand Final and prove they really were the best team this season? Or is the “Purple Haze” that’s spreading across Melbourne going to be too strong and finally deliver the Dockers their first ever premiership?
Either way, it’s going to be a massive day and a memorable game! Be sure to join us this Saturday at Red Bennies for our “Schnitz N Tits – Grand Final” party! With babelicious barmaids , body painting, schnitzel burger and a half time show plus the game on the big screen with stadium sound, you just can't go wrong.
Tickets will also be available at the door and lets hope it's a rough match!
It’s fucking SEPTEMBER! And we're fucking excited! The days are getting longer, the sun is shining and the footy finals are fucking here!
So lets start with the AFL shall we? The last round of the season had it all, close games, thrashings and even a few upsets. So where does this leave us for the finals? Well the first game sees the Swans take on the Hawks at the G on Friday night. This is a tough one to pick, because both teams are in good form, but I have a feeling the Hawks will win this one, even without Buddy. Next up the Cats take on the Dockers down in Geelong. Now even though the Dockers upset the Cats in the last finals match they played, I can’t see the Cats losing this one. The next match sees everyone’s favourite Collingwood, take on the Power at the G. Most people’s money would probably be on the Pies, but I can smell an upset and I reckon the Power is going to win this one. Finally on Sunday, Richmond takes on Carlton. To me this is a no brainer, the Tigers will win this one easy. After watching Carlton just win last week to make it into the finals, I can’t really see them perform a second miracle.
